The labyrinth is too empty and unadorned, the floor and wall "tiles" being raised randomly gives it some variation but you're unable to jump in the game so they hinder your movement frequently.

The compass doesn't function like a real compass, which is a bit weird at first, instead of pointing north it points to whatever direction you're facing.

I started mapping the maze by myself (I actually enjoy having to do that), but the irregularity in those raised tiles that protrude from the surfaces makes measuring distances hard, unless you manually count how many tiles there are between intersections, which is just too much to expect from a player imo. The maze needs some kind of markings that allow you to measure distances more easily, like different colored tiles every 10 tiles or something like that.

Also giving the player something to make some markings on the floor or walls would be very nice, like a piece of chalk you can use to make custom markings.

I found the first "puzzle" after an hour or so since starting, and it was a bit underwhelming.

Also the game needs some music.

Although the title of this game tells me that there IS a way out of this labyrinth, I have yet to find it. After an hour-and-a-half of listening to my own footsteps (clump, clump, clump…), I have made zero progress. I have not found any keys or locked gates. In fact, I have not found anything other than more rows and columns of monochrome blocks. I have circled to the north, south, east, and west. I have found countless side paths leading nowhere.

In a sense, Labyrinth a Way Out has met its objective. I am hopelessly lost in a massive maze. Evidently, I am not smart enough (or observant enough) to find the hidden areas. Since I cannot jump, there is no way to gain a perspective other than what I can see from floor level. And, since I cannot reset the game, my current unknown position is retained each time I try again.

If I were a more patient gamer, I might be inclined to use the on-screen compass and attempt to map this labyrinth. However, with an advertised “23 km of interconnected paths,” this seems like a daunting task.

Perhaps it is not fair to give an opinion on a game without playing it to completion. However, unless you delight in maze-wandering, you are likely to have an experience that mirrors mine. Thus, I do not recommend Labyrinth a Way Out. If you are a fan of escape mechanics with puzzles, there are many more engaging titles out there.
