Description
Will you like it?
Are you looking for a transportation sim that will scratch a particular itch in a very satisfying way for a few hours? This might be the game for you... Actually, just look at the pictures or watch the trailer and you'll pretty much know whether you'd enjoy it.
Your job in this game to design a highway interchange. Don't go over-budget and don't have traffic jams. Connect all the roads so that cars from every direction can get to every direction. Basically, all lanes must exit.
That price though...
Is it totally free? Yes, there are no in-app purchases or anything. Why is it free? I can't legally earn money from it right now, for reasons of international law. But feel free to assume it's because I'm being held hostage in a basement and my captors would pocket the money.
Gameplay details
The little cars have places to go! Using simple mouse-based controls, build a road network consisting of lanes and nodes that connects each incoming road to all of the outgoing roads. How you do that is up to your design skills and personal taste, as long as it handles all the traffic and doesn't cost too much. Cloverleafs, turbines, roundabouts, and braided interchanges are some of the designs you're likely to find useful, but it doesn't matter whether they have names, you'll probably reinvent those and also brand new ones yourself.
The first 25 levels are a tutorial for the mechanics, and each will only take a matter of seconds. After that, you'll get the first real problem to solve. Most levels take 10-30 minutes to solve. There's calm music playing in the background, and no time pressure as long as you don't mind cars honking at you if you cause a traffic jam.

User Reviews
It's early access and free... likely needs the tutorial levels to be consolidated down to 2-3 vs the 5-6; and the controls /settings could easily be improved... but still enjoyed as a puzzle game for a few hours.
As of this writing the game stops about 1/3 of the intended campaign with no clear timing of when will be complete.
Tricky, but chill. They honk a lot when they have to wait two seconds. A solid early access, and replayable if you like optimising or just love stressing yourself out. And it´s free so literally nothing to lose but sleep while you try to figure out how to make that yellow van cross an intersection.
All Lanes Must Exit is a small puzzle game built around traffic management, where I have to work out how to get every lane of traffic safely through an intersection. The basic idea is simple, but the challenge comes from having to understand the movement of several vehicles at once and making sure I do not create a crash or block the wrong route.
The biggest strength for me is how quickly the game turns a simple idea into something that requires actual planning. At first, the traffic patterns are easy enough to understand, but as more lanes and vehicles are introduced, I have to think ahead rather than simply reacting to whatever is directly in front of me. Solving a difficult intersection can feel surprisingly satisfying when everything finally flows correctly.
I also like that the game focuses almost entirely on its central mechanic. There is no unnecessary story or complicated character progression distracting me from the puzzles. I can look at a problem, experiment with different solutions and try again when something goes wrong. That makes it easy to pick up for a short session.
The difficulty is where the game becomes more interesting. Once multiple lanes are active at the same time, I have to pay attention to timing, priorities and possible conflicts. A solution that looks correct at first can still fail because one vehicle reaches an intersection at the wrong moment. I enjoy that kind of trial and error because mistakes usually teach me something about how the puzzle works.
The biggest weakness is that the gameplay can become repetitive. Once I understand the basic rules, I am still dealing with the same fundamental problem of getting traffic through safely. The later challenges can become more complicated, but I would have liked more mechanics or unusual situations to make the puzzles feel more distinct from one another.
I also think the game is best suited to people who already enjoy logic and management puzzles. If I am looking for action or constant rewards, there is not much here to keep me entertained. The satisfaction comes almost entirely from solving problems, so whether I enjoy it depends heavily on how much I like slowly working out an efficient solution.
The presentation is fairly simple, which I think suits the concept. Traffic puzzles do not need elaborate graphics, and keeping the interface clear makes it easier for me to understand what each lane and vehicle is doing. I would rather have a clean layout than a flashy presentation that makes the traffic harder to follow.
Overall, All Lanes Must Exit is a straightforward puzzle game with a surprisingly satisfying traffic-management concept. I like figuring out how to keep every lane moving without causing problems, and the increasing complexity gives the simple idea some depth. It can become repetitive and is definitely aimed at a specific type of puzzle player, but when I am in the mood for a quiet logic challenge, it works well.
Rating: 7.6/10
the first 4 levels are embarrassingly easy, then the 4th level makes no sense to me and there is no explanation.
its good but very challenging, wish there was a custom maker where you can build what you want
