Description
Void Profit is an Aetrocor-certified independent trading experience.
Under an active rental agreement, you are permitted to operate one (1) company vessel. Continued access is contingent on regular payment compliance.
Operate efficiently and stay profitable.
You are granted full discretion over your activities.
Choose the cargo. Select your destinations. Establish what risks are acceptable. Aetrocor doesn't interfere with your choices. Performance remains your responsibility.
Transit is not always the same.
Routes differ in travel time, traffic and inspection pressure based on the factions controlling the area. Some are efficient and highly monitored. Others are slower and may have reduced oversight. Familiar routes may attract increased attention over time. Never rely on a single route. Operators are expected to evaluate conditions before departure.
All markets are subject to change.
Demand fluctuates. Supply shifts. As opportunities are utilized, they deteriorate. It is advised to take timely action.
Most goods remain tradable, but profitability is not guaranteed.
Rental obligations remain unaffected as per your contract.
Interceptions, manifest checks, cargo scans, or other disruptions may occur during transit. Traffic density is not constant. Routes may become unstable or temporarily unavailable.
Adapt accordingly.
Aetrocor does not maintain jurisdiction over the zones you operate in.
Corporate territories, union-controlled regions, independent stations, and fringe sectors each maintain their own standards of enforcement, legality, and inspection behavior based on the controlling faction.
Be aware that requirements vary.
Your vessel remains the property of Aetrocor.
Continued operation requires:
- consistent income
- rental payments
- avoidance of excessive liability
Failure to meet these conditions may result in your contract being terminated.
- Independent trading under an Aetrocor contract
- Route selection with variable travel time, traffic conditions and faction pressure
- Market environments driven by supply, demand, the changing world and faction politics
- World events that affect routes, markets and local operating conditions
- Faction-controlled space with different enforcement and behavior
- Dynamic transit conditions requiring real-time response
Aetrocor provides the opportunity.
Remain operational.

Be ye notified: This is not an AI game. I know, god do I know, that there have been a rush of AI slop market/trading simulators on steam. It's one of the few things the robot is good at. I saw this game on my feed multiple times, and said "oh, another one, goodbye!" I was wrong. I did some cursory research on the game and the developer, and it turns out the dev is independent to the point of not wanting to use machine translation for localization. I then immediately bought the game, because thank fucking god I'm actually giving my money to someone who is working on their video game.
That said, the actual review.
This game, from my playing of it, is a highly detailed and very interesting simulator of running a trade starship in a quasi-trek inspired setting. The reason I like it is because I can finally run trade routes without getting stomped down by corp multiboxers in EVE online. This game very much gives the same feeling of running Jita trade routes, which I am very very familiar with.
It's missing some things i'd like, however, and it's not perfect. The "Your Ship" indicator is janky as all hell, the text rotates with the cursor and the cursor is almost always misaligned. The UI is incredibly obtuse and difficult to navigate. All of the elements feel either oversized or undersized with no inbetween. It also keeps popping up spellcheck warnings at me, for some reason. In addition, some of the tooltips are default windows popups, which is odd, but I'm used to aurora 4x and RtW3, so I can live with it.
Some more ways to get your hands on goods without explicitly trading for them would also be welcome, be it mining or salvage. However, I've hardly played the game so far, but I absolutely need to give it a positive review for being an actual passion project.
Good luck, developer! Hope to see this game flourish, and I hope you get the playerbase you deserve! I also hope you manage to get to Very Positive or Overwhelmingly positive at some point, given how elated you were to reach just Positive. You deserve it!
I just started and I already can tell this game has a wonderful economics sim running under the hood. The game has an ambient soundtrack but also has an easy interface for online radio or other music integration. The game even makes it feel like you are messing with the radio on your ships dashboard.
The game clearly has a lot of complexity behind it, but the beginning trade loop is very forgiving, and the first round tutorial hints and built in help directory (which I like to pretend is in the equivalent of a glovebox by the pilot seat) make initial familiarization a lot easier.
I am thrilled to get to know this game better, and I hope more people do the same.
2 hours in, game is solid, would like to be able to directly compare intel on markets to each other, though.
Great game which really scratches that itch for a space trading game which is also brutal and unforgiving to the player. It has lots of potential and with enough support could become absolutely incredible!
underrated
