Description
Hacker Clicker is the classic idle clicker loop everyone already knows, except now it looks like you are doing something wildly illegal and at least mildly impressive.
Smash your mouse button or keyboard for data. Buy sketchy upgrades. Automate the grind. Pretend this is productivity.
For advanced operators, windowed mode is available so your desktop can still look professional.
And yes, every 3 hours, some mysterious pieces of data may quietly drop into your Steam Inventory.

Being a hacker must be very lonely?
I have spent about 40 hours on this game so far and its pretty fun just to play overtime but one thing about it for new players is that it takes forever to complete the game im not even close to finishing it and some of the achievements are very confusing on how to get so i do recommend it if your willing to go through that struggle but overall the aspect of the game is pretty nice it could use some better quality of life tho.
I think it'd be a lot more enjoyable if you actually knew which key to press in advance, rather than just being hinted the potential character (letter, symbol, enter etc).
You could start off with being shown only a single key, but have an upgrade option that allows you to progressively see more at once. As you keep upgrading, it becomes easier to type faster since you'll be reacting to more characters at once.
In basic typing tests, I average around 150 wpm, so the upgrade's effect would compound enough for me to do some proper hacker larp from ACTUALLY typing out the code, rather than just repeatedly mashing out the script to ScreaM's Finalmouse ad. I mean, it kinda sucks knowing that 95% of my time so far involves me doing something more interesting and checking in on the autotyper every once in a while, seeing if it reached a word or section of code that I recognise, and then going back to whatever I was doing.
I'm sure balancing everything around this change would work out for the better, because Hacker CLIcker could turn into a really engaging typing speed test alongside its idle gameplay. I know there are plenty of people out there who would appreciate this! For now though, I have to say that it's certainly a clicker game, but a pretty rudimentary one at that.
cool game
Interesting novelty twist to the clicker genre. Appreciate the relief from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome of mouse clicking. But, it lacks some diverse gameplay mechanics, comparing to other games in its genre. Game replayability seems limited, based on my limited time.
