User Reviews
This game has a glaring issue which you will encounter in the fourth level. It starts switching the bindings. It doesn't even let you get used to it as it throws a ton of shadowninjas at you to boot. To me, this is not a good gimmick. It’s destruction.
You shouldn’t rake up difficulty by messing with the player’s muscle memory. This game claims to be about direction; then flips the controls like a sadistic game show host. Left isn’t left anymore. Right isn't right anymore. It's extremely disorienting.
For any rhythm game, your hands obey instinct... and fail. And worst of all? It switches back. No warning.
No marker.
Just sudden, invisible reset, ruining the flow even more.
That’s not challenge. That’s erosion. Flow isn’t broken by speed. Not by density. Not by harder patterns. Which would be fun to deal with. No, it’s shattered by confusion and sheer uncertainty. (And pattern wise it's hard to see when notes are linked too, btw.)
A challenge shouldn't be annoying by design. It should be challenging but fun, so the player, even when failing, will be having a good time and feel motivated to try again and get better. This doesn't. It's frustrating. It's not innovative. It's lazy design. Calling this challenge is like calling arson home renovation. It works... technically. But it destroys everything.
This binding flip? Destroys an otherwise fun game.
