User Reviews
i remember seeing this all over tumblr. now i finally have played it. monumental
Deeply unnerving, and I liked that. But I gotta downvote this due to the lack of content. I thought I was playing at a leisurely pace and then it was all over in 10 minutes. Definitely feels like a bit of a rip-off
Plug & Play is a short surreal experience where one clicks their way through a series of scenarios that are left up to the interpretation of the viewer.
This game offers content that can be as meaningless or as meaningful as the player chooses.
I enjoyed Plug & Play because I have a affinity for 2D animated projects and I loved being surprised by what happened next in each scene. Plug & Play offers a lot in way of how an individual person can see it. Just two of endless possibilities for interpretation: To one person it could just be a silly surreal piece about anthropomorphized plugs and sockets. To another person it could capture a story about social isolation and bids for connections despite consequences or danger. Art.
I would recommend giving Plug & Play a try!
The gameplay feels more like an interractive movie from a weird art film project
The artstyle is an incoherent rough draft that adds to the atmosohere
The music goes from the feeling of cold dark forest nights to the feeling of ambient church music sung by fallen angels
The entertainment is confusing/bleak/dark/weird
The replayvalue is 50/50, since when you seen all and knows the game throughout, there's not much more that will surprize you
The scale is extremely short, thus one of those games you might play rarely nor show to other people with no further explanations
Overall: I give it a medium/neutral 1 out of 6/16.6 to 16.67% out of 100
Final thoughts: Partially got me thinking of those centipede films and that one scene from Euphoria
just no
