Surprisingly in-depth deckbuilder
People don't understand my love for the funny emoji game
I only have a few hours logged on this game on Steam, but have played an absurd amount of the mobile version (which plays great, but may kill your general sense of productivity). Merge Maestro looks deceptively simple - which I suppose is true in terms of what you do on a turn, basically place a token or combine 2 together - but has a surprising amount of depth and synergies between tokens to discover.
The learning curve is well designed, with the game drip-feeding new mechanics and gradually increasing the difficulty in interesting ways (e.g., new types of enemies, giving existing enemies additional mechanics). There's also a ton of challenge modes that offer additional twists on the rules that can open up new strategies or force restrictions that make you have to come up with specific builds to counter them.
Really excellent, especially for the cheap asking price.
Fun merge game with some unique twists and roguelike progression. Really well done. A steal even at full price.
There's a lot going on here, feels like it has a pretty high skill ceiling (or I'm just dumb) and lots of content to keep things interesting.
