User Reviews
Developed and published by Avi Games, Lots of Things 2 - Travel and Search CE is a polished hidden object adventure that builds upon its predecessor with a stronger emphasis on variety, exploration, and player freedom. Rather than dramatically changing the familiar formula, the game refines it through more intricate scene design, additional puzzle mechanics, and a travel-inspired presentation that encourages players to explore vibrant locations packed with detail. It remains a title aimed squarely at casual gamers who enjoy taking their time, observing carefully, and progressing through a relaxing experience without the pressure of difficult combat or complex systems.
The heart of the game lies in its hidden object gameplay, where every environment is densely filled with cleverly placed items waiting to be discovered. The travel theme gives each stage its own personality, offering a pleasant change of scenery as players journey through colorful destinations and richly decorated locations. One of the standout additions is the Layers mode, which adds a fresh dimension to the search process by allowing scenes to evolve with multiple sets of hidden objects. This mechanic makes familiar environments feel new again, encouraging closer inspection and rewarding attentive players who enjoy uncovering every last detail.
To prevent the gameplay from becoming repetitive, Lots of Things 2 mixes hidden object stages with a healthy selection of mini-games and brain teasers. These puzzles vary in style and complexity, providing brief breaks from object hunting while maintaining the game's relaxed atmosphere. Another welcome improvement is the flexible progression system, which lets players decide whether to complete puzzles first or continue searching for hidden items before moving on. This freedom helps create a smoother pace and allows each player to approach the adventure in a way that best suits their preferences instead of forcing a strict sequence of objectives.
As the Collector's Edition, the package offers considerably more content beyond the main adventure. Exclusive bonus material extends the overall playtime and provides additional challenges for players who enjoy completing every aspect of a hidden object game. Whether through extra levels, collectibles, or supplemental activities, these additions give the premium edition greater value and help the experience feel more substantial without disrupting the natural flow of the core campaign.
Visually, the game succeeds with bright, attractive artwork that balances decorative detail with gameplay readability. Every environment is packed with objects, yet the scenes rarely become frustratingly cluttered, allowing players to carefully distinguish targets through observation rather than random clicking. The soundtrack complements the leisurely pace with calm background music that enhances the relaxing mood, while the straightforward interface keeps navigation intuitive for players of all experience levels. Combined with modest hardware requirements, the game remains highly accessible for virtually anyone interested in the hidden object genre.
Lots of Things 2 - Travel and Search CE does not attempt to redefine hidden object adventures, but it delivers a confident and well-crafted example of the genre. Its combination of detailed environments, varied puzzles, flexible progression, and generous Collector's Edition content creates an experience that feels complete and consistently enjoyable from beginning to end. Players looking for a story-driven action game or demanding challenge may find its gentle pacing too familiar, but fans seeking a cozy, content-rich hidden object adventure will find plenty to appreciate. Avi Games has successfully refined its established formula, resulting in a sequel that is both accessible to newcomers and satisfying for longtime fans of casual puzzle games.
Rating: 7/10
I find this game quite enjoyable. In each setting (a travel location), there are 4 things to do: 1 HO scene, 1 layers scene where you have to move things around to find objects, 1 sorting or matching scene and 1 puzzle. There is a good variety of stuff to do. The graphics are excellent and the background music is very peppy, sunny & pleasant.
