You may find this a very short review, by my standards: But it's a perfectly charming, short, and easy coop game. I totally didn't buy it because of quebecois "voyageurs" mythology, no sir*.
You (and your partner) are fabled 1x1 cubic lego bricks. You can roll about, one button makes you hop, another makes you clip yourself onto lego studs. If it's a loose item, you drag it (awkwardly?) about with yourself, or affix it to a grid, or move about on that grid.
Another button makes you sing. In our few hours of playing, we may have sung more than anything else. It is using "sing" fairly loosely, you understand.
The stakes are pretty low. Flub a jump, you're moved back to a nearby safe point. Needed items are always accessible. The jumps are never really hard, and there's a strong "magnetism" to some jumps, like when springing from flower to flower, so even if you're clumsy-fisting it as a 60-something gaming neophyte on a keyboard, or your five-year-old niece is playing, you'll get through.
Puzzles are not massive head-scratchers, but they may need a little communication. Flip switches to let your partner through, or work machines to fling your partner, or both of you are operating a somewhat clumsy hovercraft. If you can talk, or at least grunt meaningfully while pointing at the screen, you totally got this.
It's true my wife and I never finished it, but it wasn't because we weren't charmed, we're just both easily distracted. We might go back to it in the fullness of time. That said, it doesn't feel like an overly long game either. Still, it'll keep that senior gaming neophyte or the niece occupied for a few hours, while you go about more important things like your super-spy dinosaur-salvage business.
I really, really hate advertising, so with a lot of effort I'm making a passing reference to my curator in my profile, and other online things I do you might be interested in. On the bright side, checking it out won't get you hassled past this, which has got to be worth something, eh?
* Actually, I pretty much did.
Very pretty, very atmospheric, and even very emotional, despite the main bricks only making funny sounds.
Building Controls are a bit frustrating at times though, this could be improved in a sequel.
Amazing. Very beautiful.
Played With Girlfriend, made her cry twice. Beautiful little game. Worth every penny...
w game loved it the whole
