Hardspace: Shipbreaker - Original Soundtrack

Beautiful.
I just wished there was a way to only play the tension remixes ingame, like with a helmet radio with configurable playlist or something like this. The additional synth background parts better fit my feeling of floating in space.

A friend gifted me the game and I got into playing it. Didn't think much of the soundtrack for a while, right up until I pulled my first reactor.

I let out an audible "Oh" as the synth kicked in, the music intensifying as the imminent meltdown warning blared and my character began to panic.

After the reactor was safely deposited, the synth music continued for just a little longer before trailing back into the normal acoustic folk, leaving me desperately wanting more. I continued playing, pulling more reactors just to hear that synth kick up the intensity once more.

But it wasn't enough. Those few fleeting chords had left me with a ravenous hunger for more, and no amount of reactor pulls would be able to sate it.

Eventually I had the presence of mind to realize that if they'd put this much effort into the music, they must be selling the soundtrack as well. Thankfully I was right. One purchase later, and I'm happily listening to the tension remixes as I type this review.

My hunger is finally sated.

Top-tier soundtrack, shame the actual game is not for me. Flame in the Flood also has a pretty sick soundtrack of American folk music, mostly southern, if you ever wanna check it out. Open to recommendations.

This is hands down one of, if not the best, soundtrack to exist. I will turn off the in-game music (Which is the same music btw) to listen to it louder; and without in-game interruptions, like characters speaking, or me being a salvage god. I have, and will continue to listen to it whilst on my way to work, it's the soundtrack of all the life times.

This soundtrack absolutely SLAPS! Whether you're a fan of the game or not, I would definitely recommend getting this, especially if you're a fan of Americana or Country music.
