A little bit on the "edge" here, especially with the price when you realize it only adds a new map and a buildable bridge... being a fan of Frostpunk, however, I bought it, enjoyed it no less. It's not for everyone but it was so-so.

Its a little underwhelming to be honest, even on sale. The adaptions you have to make to deal with the rifts and bridges and occasional negative random status can be interesting, and collecting the relics is fun for a while, but collecting them all is a massive slog and you quickly run out of new things to do on normal difficulty as its more-or-less the standard game mode with no throughline plot.

A thing that niggled at me as well is the lack of elaboration on relic notes and exploration journals, which are one of your few motivations to push forward. About 75% of them boil down to "this is odd, we don't know what happened, move on" and it reminded me greatly of the annoyingly sparse Q&A session the dev team did for FP2 a few years back. There's someone on the team who is terrible at writing open-ended mysteries, and they let them run wild here.

Worth getting on sale if you're starved for FP1 content, or just want to support the dev's.

This is just one map, with the only new feature being expensive bridges that you need to build to reach resources.

So, as a standalone full-price DLC, it’s definitely not worth it.

As part of the GOTY edition, it’s fine—just one more map to try in Endless Mode.

Cheap, and I love the endless map, but the DLC pack itself brings no significant new content for the price...

Picked this up for a few bucks on sale—money well spent! Made it to 100+ days in Endless after rebuilding the generator, then froze everyone except the away teams. 10/10, highly recommend.
